Description:
This project was developed to experiment with sports mechanics in a gladiatorial setting. In Catch This!, radioactive fallout has given people the unique ability to stretch their arms infinitely! You play as a competitor in a post-apocalyptic death match where you must hurl bomb-strapped razor discs at each other while attempting to score points by getting goals and killing your opponent.
Take-away:
This was an interesting exploration in solo game development. I honed skills in topics like programming, while also deepening my understanding of actions such as art asset development. Over the course of this project I learned to utilize controller inputs with GameMaker.
